Welcome to the Election Resources on the Internet website. In this space you will find links to Internet sites around the world which provide complete and detailed national and local election statistics, as well as other election resources. If you know of a site that meets such criteria and you do not see it listed here, please send me a message.

In addition, Election Resources on the Internet has a blog: Electoral Panorama, published in English and Spanish. I am also a contributor to the Global Economy Matters blog, on matters pertaining to elections around the world.

Costa Rica held a general election on Sunday, February 7, 2010. General Elections in Costa Rica has a description of the Central American country's electoral system, as well as the results of presidential and legislative elections from 1953 to 2006.

Ukraine held a presidential election on Sunday, January 17, 2010 and a presidential runoff vote on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Ukraine has the results of the 2004 repeat runoff presidential election and the first round of the 2010 presidential election, as well as the results of the 2006 and 2007 elections to the Supreme Council (Parliament).

 

Hungary will hold a general election on April 11 and 25, 2010. Elections to the Hungarian National Assembly has an overview of the Hungarian electoral system, with results of parliamentary elections held in Hungary since 1990.

The Czech Republic's general election, originally scheduled for October 9-10, 2009, will be held on May 28-29, 2010. Parliamentary Elections in the Czech Republic - Elections to the Chamber of Deputies has the results of legislative elections held in the Czech Republic from 1996 to 2006, as well as an overview of the Czech electoral system.

 

Chile held a general election on Sunday, December 13, 2009 and a presidential runoff vote on Sunday, January 17, 2010. Presidential and Legislative Elections in Chile has a description of the Chilean electoral system, as well as the results of general elections held in the South American country from 1989 to 2010.

Romania held a presidential runoff election on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Romania has the results of the 2004 general election, the 2008 parliamentary elections and both rounds of the 2009 presidential election.

Greece held an early parliamentary election on Sunday, October 4, 2009. The results of general elections from 1996 to 2009, as well as an overview of the Greek electoral system are available in Elections to the Hellenic Parliament (Vouli).

 

Germany held its 17th Bundestag election on Sunday, September 27, 2009. Elections to the German Bundestag describes the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) representation system used in the Federal Republic of Germany, with results of parliamentary elections from 1949 to 2009.

 

Portugal also held a parliamentary election on Sunday, September 27, 2009. The results of parliamentary elections held in Portugal from 1975 to 2009, as well as a description of the proportional representation system used to choose members of the Portuguese legislature are available in Elections to the Portuguese Assembly of the Republic.

Norway held a parliamentary election on Monday, September 14, 2009. Japan held a House of Representatives election on Sunday, August 30, 2009. Parliamentary Elections in Japan have the results of legislative elections held in Japan from 1996 to 2009, as well as an overview of the electoral systems for both houses of the National Diet of Japan.

Mexico held a legislative election on Sunday, July 5, 2009. The results of federal elections from 1997 to 2009, as well as an overview of the Mexican electoral system are available in Federal Elections in Mexico.

Bulgaria also held a parliamentary election on July 5, 2009. The results of legislative elections held in Bulgaria from 1991 to 2009, as well as an overview of the Bulgarian electoral system are available in Elections to the Bulgarian National Assembly.

Argentina held legislative elections on Sunday, June 28, 2009. The results of the 2003 presidential election, the 2005 legislative elections and the 2007 general election, as well as an overview of the Argentinian electoral system are available in National Elections in Argentina.

Luxembourg held a parliamentary election on Sunday, June 7, 2009. Elections to the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies has an overview of the Grand Duchy's electoral system, with the results of the 1999, 2004 and 2009 legislative elections.

Slovakia held a presidential election on Saturday, March 21, 2009, and a runoff election on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Galicia and the Basque Country held elections for their devolved legislatures on Sunday, March 1st, 2009. New Zealand held a general election on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The United States of America held a general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Federal Elections in the United States of America has the results of presidential elections from 1996 to 2008.

The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico also held a general election on November 4, 2008. Italy held an early parliamentary election on April 13-14, 2008. The Faroe Islands held an election for their devolved legislature, the Løgting, on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Elections to the Faroese Løgting has an overview of the Faroese proportional representation system, with the results of the 1998, 2002, 2004 and 2008 parliamentary elections.
