Elections to the Slovenian National Assembly, Part I

The Republic of Slovenia held an early general election on Sunday, June 3, 2018, following the resignation of Prime Minister Miro Cerar. The proportional representation system used to choose members of the National Assembly - the lower chamber of Slovenia's bicameral legislature - will be reviewed in Part II of this presentation; Slovenia's 2007 Presidential Election and Slovenia's 2008 Parliamentary Election, published on Global Economy Matters in 2007 and 2008, respectively, have an overview of Slovenia's electoral and political party systems at that point in time.
